Visitors from the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) meet with NIDMAR and PCU-WHS

DISABILITY MANAGEMENT FROM A HR PERSPECTIVE
Many of the traditional HR functions involve aspects of disability management. HR practitioners may be directly or indirectly involved in return to work planning. This eight-course certificate program is designed for HR practitioners with disability management responsibilities and focuses on knowledge and skills that they use when workers incur disabilities. EFFECTIVE WORKPLACE RESPONSES TO MENTAL HEALTH
This eight-course Certificate Program addresses the mental health aspects of disability management for those responsible for return to work, disability management, human resources, and health and safety. PCU-WHS announced it has received the Education Quality Assurance (EQA) designation approved by the Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills and Training. Institutions carrying the EQA designation meet criteria beyond what is required by legislation, regulatory bodies and accreditation processes.

Grant Provides British Columbia Workplaces the Opportunity for Building a Culture of Accommodation
The WDA Grant that has been available to support BC employers and workers in developing enhanced workplace capacity to successfully address accommodation challenges for workers has been extended to March 31, 2027.
